I understand that it took 18 mths to get here since it was shown at the Cannes Film Festival. Most European movies do get here eventually.

When I went and saw it (Sunday matinee) the cinema was chockers (full up).

Regards, Paul.Paul P. Silly Earth and its crazy hemispheres - believe it or not, I had really never realized that some people would have Christmas and summer break at or around the same time. As always, I look forward to reading your next post :-DElihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03543293341085230171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3427479692989285926.post-34413708119888652302010-12-02T21:22:15.592+11:002010-12-02T21:22:15.592+11:00Hi Eli,

Pre-Christmas in Oz is the crazy season, because it's our summer holiday time and everyone is trying to get everything done in less and less time before they go away.

I'm going to post something new this weekend, and it's genuinely philosophical, albeit concerning a lesser known philosopher.

Regards, Paul.Paul P. I no longer have the Pulitzer Prize-winning book where I read that, so I can't reference the source. But even back then, the CIA, and others in the American State Department, expressed interest in using them to carry weapons or deliver warheads. I remember thinking back then that it was a recipe for abuse and disaster in every sense of the term.

But, according to Hari, they were actually developed as a weapon by Israel.

Regards, Paul.Paul P.
