Even though he now lives in America (and has done for some time, I believe) he was born in Australia like me. I remember hearing about him as a very young child prodigy in mathematics.

Have you corresponded with him about your proof? Has he seen your paper?

If you've really solved the Riemann Hypothesis, then that's quite a coup, and you will be famous beyond your own lifetime.

Please let me know if and when you get confirmation.

Regards, Paul.Paul P. Derbyshire says: "If Theorem 15-2 is true, the Hypothesis is true, and if it is false, the Hypothesis is false."

My understanding is that you've claimed you've proven this theorem.

Otherwise, I have to confess I don't understand your paper at all, because I don't have the mathematical ability.

I can follow quite a lot of Derbyshire's book, but it's really written for dummies like me.

Your paper needs someone much better qualified than me to confer judgement on its veracity.

Regards, Paul.Paul P. It's 10 years now since I wrote it, and I haven't written anything else as good since.

it's completely different to what I write on my blog, btw. You can get hard copies through Amazon as well.

Regards, Paul.Paul P. Your Blog is impressive - motivating me. I am not a sci-fi novel reader much, but love all the scifi TV and movies (trekkie). I may check out your book.

Bye,

Vijay Vijay Kulkarnihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10692573072991224142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3427479692989285926.post-42222131873043466862012-08-20T15:56:19.389+10:002012-08-20T15:56:19.389+10:00Hi Vijay
If you're interested in books on mat...Hi Vijay

If you're interested in books on mathematics, I can also recommend du Sautoy's Finding Moonshine and Simon Singh's Fermat's Last Theorem.

The 3 books I refer to above all have different emphases. I'm currently re-reading Dan Rockmore's Stalking the Reimann Hypothesis, which has more to say about Reimann's influence on modern physics than the other two.

Du Sautoy has also produced some very good programmes for the BBC like The Code, which you can probably find on YouTube.

I think a well-written book on Ramnujan would be very interesting. I also notice on your blog you mention A Brief Tour of Human Consciousness by V. S. Ramachandran, which sounds interesting.

You mention Douglas Hofstadter. I haven't read I am a Strange Loop but I have read Godel, Escher, Bach which I wrote about here if you're interested.

Regards, Paul.Paul P. I find it fascinating. I also read recently the Bio of Ramanujan- The man who knew Infinity. I am planning to go thru Derbyshire once more soon. How these guys did what they did is truly astonishing.

Vijay Kulkarni Vijay Kulkarnihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10692573072991224142noreply@blogger.com
